Coaching

My approach.

I approach coaching the way I approach my own learning. With every student, I focus on their learning style, regardless of the subject (vocal technique, auditioning, monologue or scene study), to make sure they are learning in a way they are comfortable and used to. My ultimate goal is that you, as the auditioner, feel both confident and in control of the product you’ll be replicating at auditions. Using an analytical approach, my student and I dissect and discuss material to make sure they are able to give their all when in performance.

Recent Clients

“Ryan was absolutely amazing to work with. I had no experience rapping whatsoever, and within the first 10 minutes of his coaching, I made such a vast improvement. He knows exactly how to make someone feel comfortable with material they may not be used to doing. He works so hard to make sure the improvement is seen by others, but also felt within!”

— Mia Nevarez, Chicago Actress

“Ryan worked as an acting and vocal coach with our 8th grade (13 year old) students.  He insightfully lead the students to a greater understanding of the characters they were playing and the songs they were singing.  Ryan has a wonderfully comfortable and knowledgeable manner working with our young students.  He skillfully helped our students to relate their own lives to the characters they were playing.

— Jamie Querciagrossa, K-8 Drama Specialist at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Literary and Fine Arts School

“Ryan’s specialty is through his analysis of the text, helping me work through every moment of a piece. But I love to work with him because he truly cares about getting to know you, which not only brings out your best character, but makes him enjoyable to be with.”

— Josh Kuhn, Northwestern Student
